The Verbal stuff...

Saxophonist Ross Rizzo grew up in San Diego, California. Ross attended Poway High School which earned many awards for their outstanding music program. Ross held lead chair positions in the top concerts bands and sat Baritone sax in the advanced jazz ensemble. After graduating Poway High, Ross attended Palomar College where many of the top jazz musicians in the country educated him. The likes of Keith Jacobson, Christopher Hollyday and Gunnar Biggs helped him create a unique style and flair. An exemplar student and multi-instrumentalist also playing guitar, flute and clarinet Ross is well versed in many styles and forms including Jazz, Funk, Rock, Nu-Jazz, R&B and Latin. Ross is now attending California State University San Marcos pursuing economics and music performance degrees. Ross has shared stages with Eric Marienthal, Richard Elliott, Rockola, Minga and Keith Jacobson as a sax and guitar player. A leader of his own group and a regular in many other groups around town, there are many possibilities to hear him play. Ross would like to thank all of his supportive family and friends and the ever-special people that are so far away, that still mean so much... and of course to that one girl somewhere that made it so easy to place the notes where they felt they should be placed :)
